Conflict within biodiversity and socioeconomical development in National parks - case study from the National park Bohemian Forest
KULÍŠEK, Pavel
This thesis deals with the conflicts between nature conservation and the socioeconomic situation of municipalities in the model territory of Bohemian Forest National Park. This territory is made up of six municipalities that have their entire cadastral territory in the Bohemian Forest National Park. These are the municipalities of Prášily, Srní, Modrava, Horská Kvilda, Kvilda and Stožec. A questionnaire survey was carried out to solve this topic, a media analysis was carried out and a SWOT analysis of the opponents and supporters of nature conservation was made. The results showed that the inhabitants of Bohemian Forest NP are not socio-economically disadvantaged compared to the inhabitants of municipalities that do not belong in the national park. The inhabitants of the area are social and nature-related. Residents of the park also have good knowledge of nature conservation and appreciate it. The most important topics in the media analysis were the construction on the territory of the municipalities, the legislative changes and the issues of the bark beetle. Most of the resources come from media of national importance and the rest are classified as regional. The SWOT analysis shows that nature conservationists should focus more on passing on the results of expert studies towards the public. Opponents of nature conservation have interests in the Bohemian Forest region. Based on the results of the work, measures were put in place to alleviate conflicts between nature conservation and the socio-economic development of municipalities.
Mineralization of nutrients during the process of spruce dead wood decomposition in the mountain forest
Višňová, Anna ; Hofmeister, Jan (advisor) ; Choma, Michal (referee)
Summary: This thesis is focused on collecting information on the importance of dead wood on biogeochemical cycles of chemical elements in the mountain forest ecosystems of central Europe. The goal of this thesis was to determine the concentration of various elements(C, N, P, Ca, Mg, K, Na, Mn, Al, Fe) in the coarse woody debris of spruce samples of different age, stage of decomposition which were collected in different localities in the national park Šumava. Another goal was to determine the speed of which these elements are released from the dead wood. The information on the quantity of different elements and the speed of their release is currently lacking and could lead to better understanding of various biogeochemical cycles of elements in the mountain forest. During the decomposition the concentration of the elements N, P, Al and Fe increased whereas the Kalium concentration decreased. The other elements' (C, N, Ca, Mg, Mn) concentrations varied. Carbon constituted approximately 50% of weight in all of the samples analyzed. We carried out a laboratory experiment based on decomposition of dead wood samples in various stage of decay during a period of six months. The released concentration of CO2 was measured at two to four weeks intervals. The release of CO2 continually decreased during the experiment.....
Cycling-tourism in Lipno region
ŠTĚRBOVÁ, Kristina
Subject diploma work was micro - region Lipensko, where was effected analyse of presumptions and development for cycle - tourism. Highlights was Lipenská main cycle track and her upward evaluation. Agent evaluation were designed stops on trace. Penthouses with sitting plus place for leant bikes. Stoppings: with informative or visual tables than mini fitness other possibility jogging section and calibration tachometer. After first analyse of cycle {--} tourism was making a marketing research, that has been drawn on set hypotheses. Hypotheses were given three and two of them were disproved. Negate conjectures were inspiration for a proposal project of the Lipenská cycle track. Final phase of the work is the proposal project and grant possibility of European union.
